After much contemplation, I have decided to establish this blog as not only a gathering place for Minnesota Lizards, but also as a means to inform our fellow Minnesotans to the growing threat posed by the incremental establishment of Shari'a law in which we now find Minnesota cast as Ground Zero. As fantastic a job as Charles Johnson does at littlegreenfootballs.com he understandably can't always focus on all Islamic goings on here in Minnesota. That's where this blog comes in.
I believe Minnesota has become the main staging ground for the Islamists’ attempts to introduce Shari'a law into America at large. Minnesota’s liberal and generous welfare system has made this state more than attractive to refugees and immigrants from Islamic countries, and “Minnesota Nice” has made it a welcoming place for them to settle. Perhaps it is “Minnesota Nice” that led the Islamists to believe Minnesota would be an ideal testing ground. Perhaps they thought we were so nice we wouldn’t object. They thought wrong.
Reaction to the airport cabbies and the Flying Imams suggests Minnesotans aren’t as keen to playing nice with Shari’a as the Islamists would like, but these reactions do not mean their attempts will stop- far from it. We must remain vigilant, and this blog will hopefully serve to assist LGF’s Minnesota Lizards and lurkers as well as residents of this state in maintaining awareness. Links to news, columns, etc. with focus on Minnesota are welcomed and, in fact, encouraged- for we are all in this together. Together we can make a difference for Minnesota in a similar way that LGF has made a difference for America and beyond. To quote Hannah Arendt, “Evil thrives on apathy and cannot exist without it.” I’m here to say, Shari’a will find no apathy here.
